Your Brain is Musical
Neuroscience has proven through functional brain imaging that music engages more brain areas than anything else!
Emily Spillman founded Fit Brain 360 in order to help individuals improve the quality of life by daily listening to personalized music programs. Emily has worked with The Listening Program and seen many successes over the past 17 years.
Emily is a certified provider trained to deliver listening programs developed by Advanced Brain Technologies. A variety of music listening programs are designed to improve brain performance.
As a provider, Emily will be there with you at every step to serve as your coach. She is adept at matching the right program to the needs of the listener. She will guide you through the listening schedule, measuring progress, and providing strategies to ensure success.
How does The Listening Program work?
The Listening Program’s psychoacoustically modified music and production techniques are designed to stimulate or “exercise” the different functions of the auditory processing system. Various listening programs are personalized to meet the individual needs and goals of the listener. For best results, frequency of use is recommended at 5 times per week, listening once or twice daily.
The Ear Brain Connection
How can we overcome auditory processing challenges – moving from a “disorganized” to an “organized” system?
When listening to music, the ear is receiving the musical sound waves – waves that arrive in different frequencies, measured in Hertz (Hz). These frequencies stimulate the brain, and thus affect different functions of the mind and body.
Specific Frequencies for Specific Functions
The Listening Program combines decades of clinical research in several fields, including neurology, physiology, psychoacoustics, auditory processing, music theory and more.
The method builds on the work of respected leaders in these fields, such as physician Alfred A. Tomatis, M.D. (1920-2001). Among other discoveries, Dr. Tomatis helped identify the relationship between certain sound frequencies and their effect on functions of the mind and body.
Sound Frequency Zone Chart
The Listening Program provides progressive zone training of the entire neuroauditory system including the hearing (cochlea) and balance (vestibular) organs.
The music in the program is organized in four categories: Full Spectrum (FS), Sensory Integration (SI), Speech and Language (SL), and High Spectrum (HS). Each album Is color coded according to its category and corresponding frequency zone,
Countless listeners worldwide have chosen The Listening Program® for its ease of use, cost-effectiveness and verifiable results. No effective method is ever “one size fits all,” and that is why Advanced Brain Technology trains qualified professionals to administer the TLP method.
